Beneath the Sky

I sit beneath the dark sky,
wishing the end was nigh!
With a desperate sigh,
I utter a pained cry,
wait for someone’s reply.

I sit beneath the dark sky,
wishing the end was nigh!
Like a lonely butterfly,
I wait for a passer by,
to wish my last good bye.

I never thought this day will come, that I would be able to write a poem. Today I don’t know how it came to me. I penned it down while I was walking on the terrace after sunset. This is the first ever poem of my life; I know it’s not much but it’s a start therefore I am happy.

I would love to know your thoughts on this and if you want you can share how/when you started writing. Don’t shy away from sharing your thoughts.

      1. You have nice skills. I am so weak in english. I can write only in hindi and urdu and can sing. I just express my feelings in the words. I am not skilled in any field. Keep writing and motivating.

        1. Thank you! I am going to start something soon to help all those who want to improve their English skills.
          Our first language is not English so its natural to be comfortable in our mother tounge. But every language is extremely beautiful if used properly especially Urdu.
          It’s great that you can sing! I can’t, not for even saving my life. 😁

          2. मेरी अंग्रेजी बहोत अच्छी नहीं नाम मात्र ही है इसलिए अंग्रेजी के ज़्यादा शब्दों का प्रयोग नहीं कर पा रहा हूँ। आपकी लेखनी काफी प्रेरणादायक है। आशा करता हूँ आपसे और अच्छे पोस्ट पढ़ने को मिलेंगे और वक़त निकाल कर मैं आपके सारे पोस्ट पढ़ने और समझने की कोशिश करूंगा क्योंकि अंग्रेजी के लिए अनुवादक की आवश्यकता पड़ती है। धन्यवाद🙏

            1. Koi baat ni he! mjhe hindi samajh aati he, aapke jitni acchi nahi he, pr aati ache se he.
              Mjhe bhot acha laga ye jaan kr k aapko mera work padh k acha laga! Mjhe b aapki poems kaafi achi lagi he padhne me, me time nikal kr or b padhungi! dhanyawad
