I would like to thank, Benjamin of Brothers’s Campfire for bestowing me with this honour. I am proud to be a Northwich Warrior. While writing this post I also realized that I am very bad with motivational write ups, I just can’t write philosophical advice (but I am good at giving it😜).
Recently, I was considered for a membership to the Northwich Warrior Society by Nicholas of Northwich Watch from Brothers’ Campfire which meant writing a post about conquering a fear, addiction, or vice. The topic itself seemed pretty easy in the first glance. So naturally, I started thinking about it in the back of my mind and tried to think of some experience or memory to do justice to the topic provided, but drew a blank every single time. I sat on it for days, but with no luck which means I don’t have a valorous story to share with you all (I have been a good, boring girl for most of my life😅). To compensate, I have decided to share with you all the list of things from which I am afraid of.
- Fights/confrontations: This is one thing that I think I am most afraid from. I usually go to extreme lengths to avoid uncomfortable conversations due to which I end up suffering more than necessary. But recently, I am learning (with some help, of course) how to stand up for myself and not feel guilty about it. I’ve gotten better at it, but there’s still a long way to go.
- Rats/mice/ most rodents: I can’t stand these, I will be the first to run in the opposite direction at the first sign of those. I am so disgusted by their sight that I can’t even look at them. (I don’t intend to do anything about this)
- Then there are things which every human should be afraid of, things like terrorism, war, water crisis, global warming…you get the idea (I don’t know if something should be done about overcoming these).
I believe that our experiences shape us into what we are and what doesn’t kill us makes us only stronger!
You can be a Northwich Warrior too, visit Northwich Warrior Society and complete the task. If you are still reading then I would love to know your fears, things which you are afraid of. Your thoughts are very much welcome 🙂
