Silence

Amid endless scrolling

and constant press rolling,

our minds tightly keyed

and bodies continuously bleed.

Unending mayhem in the background,

like an old machine’s unnecessary sound.

All wishing  for it to stop,

even if for a few minute tops,

so we could have a complete shutdown

and sleep uninterrupted peacefully, till dawn.

Forgotten are the tales of love and contentment,

all that is left is sheer resentment

Amidst the daily violence,

we all long for peace and silence.

A silence so silent

which drowns everything violent

equally both – minute and giant!

Sometimes, all we need is some mental silence. Have a great weekend folks! Your thoughts are always welcomed and very much appreciated. Cheers 🙂

    1. That’s so nice, Syd! All this noise around us does more harm than good, listening to our inner voices is self healing.
Thank you so much for dropping by and sharing your thoughts. I am glad that you liked it. 🙂
