Eggs

Soft white cloud

with a rich sunshine center.

All you need is a little salt

and some black pepper.

Or try creamy goodness

with a heavy dose of butter

to start your day with

some Scrambled eggs.

May be I can fancy you with

a fluffy french Omelette?

Boiled eggs are also an option

Hard, soft or sweet medium.

Don’t get me started on

other marvelous uses.

Cakes, donuts, few eclairs,

or some eggnog for Christmas.

No matter what you may like,

you can’t get away with

some eggs in your life!

This has been inspired by my fellow blogger friend, John A. Reyes, he writes amazing poetry on his blog Jar of Poetry and because of our common love for food, this one was inevitable.

For the month of April, John, is hosting an incredibly generous Poetry Challenge. Go check it out! (You might end with the bounty πŸ˜‰)

Come, join in! Don’t forget to tell me about your favorite dish and wait, how do you like your eggs?

  1. Love it Akanksha, awesome contribution! And here’s my answer. :)))

    Yeah eggs
    They can’t be beat
Or yes they can, as a special treat
    I like ’em benedict-style
    With spinach on the fly
Or maybe an Easter Creme egg
So in chocolate heaven I might die.
