Another week, another challenge. I am totally enjoying this contest for NaPoWriMo, hosted by very generous John Reyes. You all are very welcome to join in on the fun!

For this week, I present you my lyrical attempt inspired by Memories by Maroon 5. Hopefully, you will enjoy the song, at least 😉

I close my eyes again
Wandering into my mind palace in vain
Seek out your intoxicating scent
Without my mind’s consent
Heart stops at the familiar turn
Mind warns me of severe burns
Yet I stand in front of that door
Where I shouldn’t be, no more
Ignoring every chill in my bone
Legs move with a mind of their own
I step inside with all my might
The memories hit me, a high tide
Throbbing of my festering wounds
The only connection I’ve with you 
I drown happily and cherish the pain
Not blood, now your memories flow in my vein

  2. This is the fitting blog for anyone who desires to find out about this topic. You realize so much its almost onerous to argue with you (not that I truly would need匟aHa). You definitely put a new spin on a subject thats been written about for years. Great stuff, just great!

      1. Mai apki saari post padhta hu.. par aap log itni zatil english likhte ho.. binaa translator ke mai padh hi nhi pataa aur na hi mai itni lambhi comment de pata hu uske liye sorry. Likhte rahiye. Stay blessed. 🙏

        1. I understand, me b poori koshish krti hu sb k saare posts padhne ki bs kabi kabi time k vajah se comment ho ni paata ya fir already comments me kisi ne meri baat boldi hoti he..to me repeat ni krti. But I make sure to like it.
          Language language ki baat he..koi kisi me comfortable hota he koi kisi or me…ese to Hindi meri mother tongue he pr I can’t write in hindi, ho hi ni pata.
