Neverland

 I open my wings
 and collect the stars
 from all the places- wide and far.
 With the new found glow and shine,
 I rise from my ashes,
 shimmering like a champagne, fine.
 Gathered all the darkness 
 that I could find
 to paint the canvas of the night,
 dusting it off with some glittery shine,
 protecting the sweet and the kind.

 I fly to the Neverland
 to bring back the child
 all those who were left behind.
 And celebrate all the wild
 postponed parties of the night.
 The moon dances 
 with the sway of our wings
 and the wind whistles 
 to the songs that we sing,
 telling the dawn to wait
 as freedom all along is our fate.
