Greetings folks! I hope that the new year is meeting your expectation. I have been unable to read your wonderful posts for the past few weeks as I felt that I needed a break & also, I was a bit busy with the book club things. If you’re into literature, you can watch the Pride & Prejudice discussion here, and in the meantime I hope to catch up with the reading.
TWT’s 22nd-Week prompt was –Piece. If you haven’t had a chance to read the wonderful 20-word stories of previous week, you can read them here.
This week’s prompt is Fall. I can’t wait to read what you come up with. Below is my 20-word story, I hope you’ll like it. Now, hop on the wagon and tell me a tale!
Fall
Her heart’s floor was covered with fallen leaves. They crunched loudly beneath his feet, announcing the start of something new.

Nice…since fall leaves always hearken back to the past, that may mean she’s shedding unwelcome parts of her past and letting him take their place

And also, fall leaves are most often used in a sad (negative) tone instead looking at them as a start of new beginnings.
I love it when people can read in between the lines, which is not so often. Thank you! Your comment made my day, Larry.
