The reason for this post is to share and celebrate the publications of this summer with you all. I know I haven’t been much active here for the past couple of months but I have continued to explore and test my writing spirit in small steps. As a result of which I was finally able to see my work get published in print and I must say it is a completely new feeling to feel your words in your hands. So, thank you for all the unconditional love, support and encouragement that you all have blessed me with over the course of my writing journey, I am nothing but grateful. It wouldn’t have been possible without you all.
Here is the list:
Through the Looking Glass: Reflecting on Madness and Chaos Within by Indie Blu(e) Publishing
Diverse, raw, and urgent, the poetry, prose, and art work in this anthology dig deep into the experience of living with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and other neurodivergent conditions, as well as the challenges of loving someone who struggles with such an illness.
I, along with 157 other artists, got a chance to showcase their work and voice their life experiences through this project. My three poetry pieces which found their home in this collection are Overcast, Masquerade and Voices.
Narratives on Women’s Issues in India: Domestic Violence by International Human Rights Art Festival (IHRAF)
IHRAF International Fellow 2021 Shashi Kadapa presented: “Narratives on Women’s Issues in India: Domestic Violence,” offering a collection of writing by 10 Indian women, from all over that country, exploring this painful issue.
Domestic violence is a deeply misogynistic tendency which has found its roots in the strong patriarchal tones of our society and the recent pandemic conditions have only added fuel to the fire.
Makeup Box– my short story (3000 words) got published in this anthology which I am very proud to be associated with.
Womenia by Priun Publications
This book binds the feelings of 101 authors who come together to ink upon their feelings at their own style. Each one of them here has shared their experience as a WOMAN.
I was requested to contribute for this amazing collection on account to celebrate this year’s Women’s Day.
Neverland – a poetry piece got a chance to be featured in this anthology.
Dreamcatcher by Spillwords
This prose poetry piece came through at last and found its home at Spillwords.
I had completely forgotten about this and that I’d submitted this hoping to get it published so, when I got the acceptance it was a happy surprise.
Hello lovelies! How is the summer treating you? On my side of the world it is scorching hot 😪 so, we are trying very hard to keep our cool these days 😅 . This year is a particularly busy one owing to some big personal life changes (🤫its a surprise and too early to tell) but the reason of my recent hiatus was the untimely breakdown of my laptop (which is a senior citizen by all accounts and is having a hard time trying to cope up with me in this heat computer). How have you been? Is it snowing or raining or shining on your side?
Until then, take care!
