and…I am back!

First of all, a big big hello to you. How are you doing? I hope this year is treating you better than the previous two.

Now, I know it has been so long since the last time I was here and in case you were wondering under which rock I’ve been hiding these past many months, just keep reading.

If you are familiar with my writings then you’d know that I hardly ever share my personal life on my blog. But this post is an exception and you’ll soon see why.

In the past months my life underwent a MAJOR change and for which I will not be able to forget 2021 even if I tried to. I GOT MARRIED! The day was 21st November 2021.

Yes, let that simmer for a while.

This was the main life altering reason for my absence and for the erratic blogging schedule earlier. Well, now you know.

And as you can imagine, I was busy getting anxious, nervous, afraid and what not (the list goes on) before the wedding and afterwards I was simply busy.

To rest your worries, yes, it was my decision and yes, I wanted to and yes, I am happy.

Here is a picture, for your eyes.

Mine was an inter-caste, inter-state, inter-religious, inter-lingual marriage with my boyfriend of more than 7 years and I’ve been blessed to have such amazing parents (from both sides) who made it look like a cake walk (if you have even a slight idea about how marriages in India work then you will exactly know what I mean).

So, this was the BIG news, rest is life…it is going on with all its ups and downs.

From now, I will be posting, reading your work, hosting Twenty-Word Tuesdays and everything in between as and when time permits but yes, this is me getting back to the things I love- writing and reading.

I just wanted to catch up and share this wonderful change in my life. If you are still reading this then I would love to hear from you- how was the new year celebrations? did you make any goals? did you learn a new skill? or completed reading a big fat book? Let me know…

After wanting so badly to be a writer and submitting poems starting at the age of thirteen, there came you.
