Flightless Bird

Another story flows

With the movement of my practiced bow

Every vibration from the plucked strings

Sings of the heartbreaks and one-sided flings

Reaching the depthless abyss and the hopeless black-holes

Calling out to the lost half souls

Wrapping their dreams in a warm embrace;

To protect their innocence from the scorching rays

Painting rainbows in their sightless gaze;

To guide them to the lighthouse through a twisted maze

The musical notes are my unheard words

Voicing tales of a soundless bird who never learned to fly

This piece was written in response to Arushi’s Screaming Melodies. I just loved her piece and the picture she used inspired me to write something as well.
